Tokyo Gaijin VS Superman
After the end of a successful Shuto league and a decent start of the Katsushika league 3 weeks earlier, we failed to keep the momentum going this Sunday.
As we were struggling with players injuries and availabilities, we ended up lining only 16 players against a foe who came prepared and with numbers. It was always going to be an uphill battle, but the team stepped up to the challenge.
"A logical loss, but, albeit a disappointing result, we can be proud of the spirit displayed by the boys throughout the game."
Despite the scoreline, there were moments of brilliance and sustained pressure that showed what this squad is capable of even when shorthanded. The focus now shifts to recovery and preparing for the next round of the Katsushika league with a fuller roster.
