The Tokyo Gaijin Rugby Football Club (TGRFC) is a unique and vibrant international rugby team based in Tokyo, comprised of enthusiastic amateur players. Our club epitomizes diversity and transience, with a majority of our members hailing from various corners of the globe, making us a truly international community. In addition, we proudly include Japanese nationals, making up around a third of our membership, fostering cultural exchange both on and off the rugby field. Within the Tokyo rugby-playing community, TGRFC holds a prominent position, actively participating in various competitions, both locally and internationally. Even when competitive matches are not on the agenda, our club maintains a rigorous training regimen, engages in friendly matches, and organizes a multitude of social events throughout the year. Our inclusive philosophy welcomes players of all skill levels, making rugby accessible to everyone who shares our passion for the sport. One of the hallmarks of our club is our frequent international travel, with exciting tours abroad occurring three times a year. These tours not only offer competitive rugby experiences but also provide our members with unforgettable cultural exchanges and lifelong memories. In 2020, we proudly extended our rugby family by establishing a girls' side, further promoting inclusivity and gender diversity within our club. As we continue to grow and evolve, we remain dedicated to fostering a spirit of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and rugby excellence, both on and off the field.

As Chairman of the Tokyo Gaijin Rugby Football Club, I extend a warm welcome to our club's website. Since our establishment in 1991, we have upheld a proud tradition in the Tokyo rugby scene, consistently proving ourselves as a formidable presence on the field. Before the pandemic, our club witnessed an impressive period of substantial growth and remarkable success. We achieved remarkable milestones, such as reaching the final of the Tokyo Cup, claiming the Shield at the Manila 10's, and securing the prestigious Cup Winners' Cup for two consecutive years. Furthermore, we proudly achieved the title of Shuto League Champions for the past two consecutive seasons, underscoring our prowess in the Tokyo rugby scene. Additionally, we made our mark on the international stage by securing the Plate Trophy at the Bangkok 10's 2023. These outstanding accomplishments exemplify the strength and resilience of our club, and we remain committed to upholding our tradition of excellence as we move forward into a new era. In 2020, we celebrated a significant milestone by introducing a Women's team to our club, and we are thrilled to see it steadily growing. These remarkable achievements serve as a resounding testament to the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of our squad and management throughout each season. It is a reflection of our commitment to excellence and the enduring spirit that defines the Tokyo Gaijin Rugby Football Club. As we look ahead to the upcoming season, we anticipate several changes and fresh challenges as we aim to build upon our previous accomplishments.
