The Gaijins have always looked to nurture and solidify relationships on and off the pitch. None more so as the Quiet Typhoons. The Quiet Typhoons are the Men’s Japan Deaf Rugby Union Team. In November of this year, they will be heading to Fiji for Tour and to get them ready, they have asked for us to participate in several games and we were more than happy to be able to assist them.
With the Shuto league on the horizon, it was important that we were ready for the season. On top of that, it was a great way to get some fitness done in the form of 7s, which was all the better. But the cherry on top for sure is the fact that we were able to use the Tokyo Gas Ground which was heaven compared to the hells of Yanokuchi. The Gaijin Girls were there as well to jump on the opppurtunity and were also able to get a team to gether to scrimmage against the men’s side.
Big thank you to the Quiet Typhoons for hosting us for the sessions and invinting us onto such lushous grass fields of Tokyo Gas. As always we hope that we can continue this great relationship. We wish you guysgood luck on your tour to Fiji and hopefully play you guys again soon. Go You Good Thing!
