With a two week hiatus in the Shuto League the Tokyo Gaijin RFC arranged a ‘Friendly’ match against the Fevers RFC in the interests of giving more game time to newcomers and less experienced players. The Fevers RFC were an unknown quantity as it is believed that they do not actually play in any league and go from ‘friendly’ match to ‘friendly’ match. The game was set to be played at the Musashi Sports Complex in Mitaka City, a beautiful oval surrounded by a running track and flanked by a rather large grandstand. After a day of rain the weather gods were also happy, with the game played in nice spring sunshine.Dateline: 16th October, 2011
On a day when a trans-Tasman clash was the focus for many rugby followers the world over, it was on the fields of Inagi where the Tokyo Gaijin were meeting the All Jin Jan (AJJ) team for a competition defining match of their own.

The Gaijin RFC gathered at the beautiful Toshiba Brave Lupus company team ground at Kita Fuchu in preparation for there much-looked forward to annual game against the Japanese National Deaf team, the All Quiet Typhoon. The mixture of deaf and partially deaf boys obviously suffer from depth with a small playing pool to choose from but always put up a brave, spirited effort. They were using the game as a step in their preparation for upcoming games against the visiting Silent Knights from Australia and a deaf team from New Zealand next month in Nagoya.
